Before you start configuring the NIC.at plug-in, please, generate the PGP key pair to digitally sign e-mail requests sent to the NIC.at registry by the plug-in. This is necessary for your requests authorization at the NIC.at gateway side.
The keys must be generated for the callback e-mail address shown on the plug-in configuration form.
The Registrar accepts domain registration requests via e-mail and sends the domain registration status responses (callback) via e-mail as well. The relevant message template for the domain registration requests is built in the plug-in. To ensure the reliable interaction between HSPcomplete and the Registrar, it might be necessary to submit the callback e-mail to the Registrar. All e-mail plug-ins generate callback e-mail addresses automatically at the moment of installation. The mailbox is created automatically. The Callback e-mail address field in the plug-in configuration form is read-only and shows you this callback e-mail.
The callback e-mail is always included in the plug-in e-mail request sent to the NIC.at. So, it is not necessary to pass this e-mail to the NIC.at gateway, since the two-way communication between the plug-in and the NIC.at gateway is established by default.
After you generate the PGP key pair (for the callback e-mail), it is necessary to send the public key to NIC.at registry, to the following e-mail address:
at-dom.regtest@nic.at
