Merging Cells in a Table

You can merge neighboring cells so that they form a single cell. Multiple cells can be merged either vertically or horizontally.

To merge cells in a table:

  1. Place the cursor in the cell you want to merge with other cells.
  2. On the toolbar, click Merge cell to merge several cells into one. The Merge Cells dialog box opens.
  3. Enter the number of cells you want to merge and select the merging direction starting from the current cursor position.
  4. Click OK.
