Modules

Modules are applications that extend the functionality of HTML web pages created using SiteBuilder. Using modules, web site owners can make their Internet representations more attractive for visitors. For more information on SiteBuilder modules, refer to the SiteBuilder user documentation.

Through the SBM interface, you can do the following:

To activate a module means to make it available for users who work in SiteBuilder wizard. Activated modules can be included in site plans; in this case, users working under these plans will be able to insert the modules on their web pages (see the Managing Plans section). Deactivated modules remain installed on SiteBuilder, but they cannot be added to plans. Therefore, you can add only active modules to plans.

To activate/deactivate or delete a module:

  1. On the Module Management page, click Modules. The Module Management page opens.

    module_man

This page displays a list of modules currently installed on SiteBuilder. You can view the status (activated, deactivated), name, and description of each module.

  2. Select the check box corresponding to the module you want to activate/deactivate. You can select several modules at once.
  3. Click one of the following buttons below the list:

Note: When you select Delete, the selected module(s) will be permanently removed from the SiteBuilder application. Modules can be installed again only from the command line. You cannot install modules through either SBM or the SiteBuilder administration panel.
