Backup

To access SiteBuilder's additional features click Extra on the main screen of Administrator Interface.

Main Screen

In order to access backup operation click Backup on the Extra Features screen.

On the Backup screen there are three tabs: Settings, Restore and System State.

In the Settings tab the administrator selects the frequency of backup jobs, i.e. how often backup will be performed (daily, weekly, and monthly). Click the Backup Creation Frequency drop down menu and select the backup frequency. After this administrator sets the following backup operation parameters:

  1. Backup creation day of week/month. Select day of week/month by clicking the corresponding drop down menu;
  2. Backup operation time. Enter the exact time for backup operation to begin. It should be entered in "hh:mm" format;
  3. Path to backup folder. Enter path to the folder that will contain your backed up data in corresponding field;
  4. Backup file name format. Enter the format of backup file, that will contain backed up data;

Note: Three backup operation parameters should be entered otherwise backup operation would not be initiated. These required parameters are: Backup Creation Time, Path to Backup Folder and Backup File Name Format.

Select the type of data to be backed up using the following check boxes:

  1. Create database backup;
  2. Create user catalogues backup;
  3. Create guest catalogues backup.

And the last element to enter on Backup Operation screen is Notification E-mail Address. It is e-mail address to which the e-mail notification regarding completion of backup operation is send.

After all required and necessary parameters are entered click Apply.

Two other tabs: Restore and System State, become available after backup is set and backup operation is completed. On the Restore tab administrator indicates the name of backup file to be restored. Type backup file name in the Backup file name command field.

To restore your backup, click Restore. If you have changed your mind regarding restoring of the backup click Cancel.

Note: It is required to enter backup file name otherwise the restore job would not be initiated.

On the System State tab the information about the state of your backup system is displayed. Backup system can be either enabled or disabled. If the backup system is enabled it means that backup jobs will be initiated according to their frequency set by administrator in the Settings tab. If the backup system is disabled then backup jobs are not done at all.
